We're looking for Gaming, Film, TV and Music News Editors - is that you?
Our new site is now settled in so we're starting to look to fill some specific roles on the site to help with content. Right now our priority is to find news editors for our Gaming, Film, TV and Music sections.
The right person will be looking to start out in journalism - previous experience isn't necessary - and be able to string together coherent sentences. They'll be keen to build links with press relations in the industry and to uncover the latest news before it's widely known.
We're looking for people who are proactive and who want to make a big difference to the direction of The Digital Fix. We can provide you with the initial contacts and then it's up to you to make more.
We don't have a budget for payment for work but incentives include film screenings, preview access to TV shows or music before anyone else. If you're keen to branch out from news then that excites us too - so if you want to try your hand at the odd review in addition to the duties that the news position brings all the better.
We're not looking for a fixed commitment - this is a hobby for everyone - but the nature of news writing positions means that regular content is preferred. We can provide support and are keen to help you build a portfolio of work to show for your future career.
If you're interested, drop us an email telling us about you, your interests and also include a sample 100-200 word news article on a recent development in your area of interest.
