The Man in the High Castle comes to Amazon Instant

imageAmazon's pilot season, in fact most of it's run of own content, has never enjoyed the success of some of Netflix's winners like Orange is the New Black or House of Cards. The closest Amazon have come is with Vikings, now renewed for it's third season. However, things could be looking up with the 2015 pilot season roster. Most interesting to me is The Man in the High Castle the adaptation of Philip K. Dick's Hugo award-winning 1962 novel. In this alternate history, the Allies lost the World War 2, and the world has been carved up between the Nazis and the Japanese, and a front of tension between them meets in the former United States of America. Amazon's adaptation will be executive produced by Ridley Scott and will star Rufus Sewell.

The line from the press material that hooked me though? 'The Man in the High Castle provides an intriguing tale about life and history as it relates to authentic and manufactured reality'. I'm drooling already.
