Talks begin on a fourth season of Hannibal

Could Bryan Fuller be one step closer to adapting Silence of the Lambs?

Bryan Fuller’s masterful  TV series Hannibal, adapting the world of Thomas Harris’ Hannibal Lecter series, has now been off the air for two years. But Fuller has always been happy to talk about the direction a potential fourth season might take. And now it seems, talks to make it happen have begun…even there is nothing concrete yet.

Bryan Fuller confirmed this intriguing news on Twitter yesterday.

“Conversations couldn’t start until 2 years after the final airing of season 3” he informed an inquisitive fan. “[Martha De Laurentiis] has started those conversations. This takes time.”

This coincides with previous discussions Fuller has had where he stated the rights the character of Hannibal Lecter (played by the brilliant Mads Mikkelsen) would become available again.

We’ll be following this development very closely, particularly if it means we’re finally going to see Fuller’s take on Silence of the Lambs
