Stephen King's The Mist Being Adapted For Television

With Under The Dome meeting its end after three seasons, another of Stephen King's horror novels is getting a TV adaptation as Dimension Television look set to bring The Mist to the small screen. The book was adapted previously by Frank Darabont as a 2007 film.

In the press release for the TV show, Bob Weinstein, co-chairman The Weinstein Company and Dimension Films said, "The terror and drama in Stephen King’s novella are so vast that we felt serialized television is the best place to explore them in greater depth. With this show, Christian has created a fascinating band of characters and a story with infinite scares."

The Christian he is referring to is Christian Torpe, creator of a successful Danish series Rita, who will be developing the show for Dimension Television.
