Star Wars on TV - lots of updates: Star Wars: Rebels sequel series, The Clone Wars returning and some Mandalorian Season Two info

Despite The Skywalker Saga coming to a close and The Mandalorian reaching the end of its first season, the Star Wars news machine seems even noisier than usual.

First up is the news that Star Wars: Rebels is set to get a sequel series with Dave Filoni reportedly set to create a new show that picks up the many dangling threads of the hugely successful show. Initial rumours suggest that Ahsoka will be the focus character of the show which will be a hugely exciting development for her many many fans.

Secondly, The Clone Wars Season 7 now has a Disney+ broadcast date of 17th February - this revived season aims to tie up all of the loose ends that were left when Disney bought LucasFilm and cancelled the show while they planned out the future of the franchise.

Finally, The Mandalorian is set to play host to 'several' Skywalker Saga characters in its second season. Many believe this could include Boba Fett, but our money is on the show throwing us a few surprises - another well known Mandalorian might be a bit too obvious; even if canon has resurrected the character following his visit to the internals of the Sarlacc in Return of the Jedi!
