Sky 1 picks up Marvel’s The Inhumans for UK broadcast – but is it going to be cancelled?

The eight part Marvel series The Inhumans has found a UK home as Sky 1 picks up the broadcast rights.

The latest TV entry in the ever expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe  is The Inhumans, a show focusing on the Moon-based royal family of super-powered humans that first came to the fore in fellow MCU TV show Agents of SHIELD. The eight-part series will make its debut on ABC in the US on 29th September.

And now Sky 1 has announced in a tweet today that they be the UK broadcaster of the series, though no air date has been confirmed yet.

However it may not be good news for this latest series which, according to several persistent rumours on the internet, may have been cancelled before it even began. The signs didn’t look good in the rather lacklustre trailer and now the reviews are coming in and ranging from okay to terrible, Could this be the first MCU flop?

Of course it should all be taken with a large pinch of salt into anything is confirmed, but it doesn’t look good for The Inhumans, which originally began life as the closing film in Marvel’s phase three slate.

More news as we have it. We’ll have our first idea of whether the show is any good when it makes it debut on Sky 1
