"Me & Mrs Jones" confirmed cancelled by BBC
Recent BBC romsitcom Me & Mrs Jones has been denied a second series, according to Twitter posts by writer Oriane Messina. The recent show featured some high-profile actors, namely Sarah Alexander of Coupling as a single mother, with Robert Sheehan of Misfits, Nathaniel Parker of Merlin and Neil Morrissey of Men Behaving Badly as the men complicating her life.
Messina went on to confirm in a later tweet that this was due to poor ratings in a difficult time slot. And perhaps a lack of promotion, as it doesn't seem to have even made it onto her own Wikipedia page.
I must admit, despite my liking for several of the actors and Green Wing, I never got round to checking this series out - it slipped rather under my radar. A shame, as the world could use some decent new comedies - I may yet pick up the DVD one day.
Were you watching Me & Mrs Jones? Is this sad news, or fair enough?
