New Charlie's Angels

If you didn't already know, Charlie's Angel's is back and returning to it's TV roots. (At least it's not another terrible movie, right?)

35 years on from the original 1970's series Kate, Eve and Abby will be played by Annie Ilonzeh (Melrose Place), Minka Kelly (The Roommate) and Rachael Taylor (Transformers) with Ramon Rodriguez (The Wire) as their handler, Bosley.

Today it was announced that Channel 4 have acquired the UK rights and the show will air on E4. No date confirmed as yet, but expect it shortly after it's 22nd September premiere on ABC in the US.

Head of acquisitions for Channel 4, Gill Hay, commented: "Charlie's Angels is a light-hearted, high-kicking romp with all the glitz, glamour and beautiful crimefighters you would expect from a US remake of the iconic original. E4 viewers can look forward to some hot Miami action as part of our brand new line up."
