Netflix renews House Of Cards for season 5

Fans of House Of Cards won't be getting season four until the 4th March, but that hasn't stopped Netflix from renewing the show for a fifth season in 2017. However it isn't without a catch; showrunner Beau Willimon has decided to move on after this year. On the announcement a spokesman for Netflix said;

"Netflix and MRC owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Beau Willimon for his strong narrative vision for House of Cards over the show’s first four seasons. As an Academy Award nominated writer, he made his first foray into television and built a riveting and critically acclaimed series, establishing his place in TV history. The producers, cast and crew join us in wishing Beau the best in his next creative adventure." - Netflix

There is no news on who will be replacing Willimon as showrunner yet, but one thing is certain; the brilliant Kevin Spacey will be back as the devious Frank Underwood - just where he is after season four's 2016 Presidential election remains to be seen...
