Natalia Cordova-Buckley's Yo-Yo made a series regular on Agents of SHIELD season five
There's been some interesting buzz around Agents of SHIELD lately. There have been rumours circulating that ABC were planning to cancel the series after the excellent but low-rated fourth season (check out our review here) before Disney who own the network and Marvel ordered them not to. And while the show won't be returning until early 2018 (making way for the eight part The Inhumans debut first), there has been some great casting news.
According to Deadline, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, who first appeared in season three of Agents of SHIELD as Inhuman character Elena 'Yo-Yo' Rodriguez, has been made a series regular for the fifth season, following a more prominent role last year. In addition to the show, Cordova-Buckley previously appeared in her own six-part Slingshot digital miniseries as Yo-Yo, which earned an emmy nomination.
Not much is known about the fifth season, but we do know it will be space bound after the cliffhanger ending to season four and this has been teased in the recently-announced teaser poster below.
