It looks like Disney+ might not be coming to the UK this year

It appears that the UK has been overlooked when it comes to Disney+ as Disney have launched their initial two phases of rollout and we're not there.

On 12th November Disney+ will launch in the US, Canada and the Netherlands. It will then be followed one week later with a 19th November launch in Australia and New Zealand.

While there's a chance it could still get a UK launch this side of Christmas, the launch window is narrowing and Disney haven't mentioned anything about their plans for the service once it has been delivered to our Antipodean friends.

This is disappointing news for those of us waiting to watch The Mandalorian or any of the Marvel spin-offs when they launch on the network. We don't expect UK-specific distribution agreements to be inked outside of Disney+ so we'll likely be left waiting for them if the service fails to launch.
