Incoming: Arrested Development new series AND film

Another series cancelled before its time, but as with other victims of the Fox axe Arrested Development has picked up enough of a following on DVD to earn a second chance. And quite a chance it is!

Speaking at a cast reunion, series creator Mitchell Hurwiz has announced that we can expect nine or ten new episodes, each focussing on a different character leading to a final feature-length big screen outing.

The Emmy and Golden Globe winning series launched the career of Michael Cera and also starred Jason Bateman. Filming on the new series and film will kick off in 2012 with both expected to debut in 2013.
