Hawkeye limited TV series rumoured to be in development for Disney+ with Jeremy Renner to star
While Black Widow is getting her own movie as part of the rumoured Marvel Cinematic Universe phase four line-up, her SHIELD team mate and fellow Avenger Hawkeye may be heading for the smaller screen. Variety have reported that a limited TV series based on Jeremy Renner's character is in the works, to be streamed on the new Disney+ service.
The series will apparently focus on Clint Barton training his successor and new Hawkeye Kate Bishop, a character that went on to join the Young Avengers in Marvel comics.
Of course, we'll take these rumours with a large pinch of salt, particularly as they have yet to be confirmed by Disney, Marvel or Renner. But along with the limited run Loki, Falcon and Winter Soldier and Vision and Scarlet Witch TV series, it seems there's plenty of exciting MCU content to come when the new streaming service launches.
Renner first played Hawkeye in 2011's Thor and will return in the highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame later this month.
