Gotham renewed for fifth and final season at Fox

Gotham, the prequel series to Batman, has been renewed for a fifth and final season at Fox. Deadline has suggested that the show will apparently have a 13-episode final run and air later than usual as a mid-season replacement.

The fifth season will apparently focus on Bruce Wayne’s (David Mazouz) transformation into the Dark Knight. Fox teased the direction of the season when announcing the renewal.

“The fifth and final season will wrap up this unique origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, which revealed an entirely new chapter that has never been told."

Gotham is currently available on Netflix and E4 here in the UK.
