CBS renews Criminal Minds and Elementary, cancels Scoprion

More cancellations and renewals, this time from CBS, which has given five shows new seasons and put an end to three more.

Criminal Minds has been granted a fourteenth season and will kick off that run with the show's 300th episode. The thirteenth season is currently airing on Sky Living here in the UK. The surprisingly good US interpretation of Sherlock Holmes Elementary, starring Lucy Liu and Jonny Lee Miller has been granted a seventh season. The delayed sixth season will also air on Sky Living this month.

Added to the renewals are Man With a Plan, Life in Pieces and Instinct and picked up a reboot of Magnum PI.

Comedies Kevin Can Wait and Superior Donuts have also been cancelled as has crime drama Scorpion, which will not continue past its current fourth season.
