Atypical renewed by Netflix for a third season

Family comedy drama Atypical, centred around the Gardner family and Keir Gilchrist's autistic character Sam, has been renewed by Netflix for a third season. Like season two, the next run will consist of 10 episodes and air in 2019.

In addition to the amazing, endearing performance Gilchrist, is Jennifer Jason Leigh and Michael Rapaport as Sam's parents Elsa and Doug and the wonderful Brigette Lundy-Paine as sister Casey. The sibling relationship between Sam and Casey is one of the most real, heart warming parts of the show.

Atypical was created, written and executive produced by Robia Rashid, and has drawn a lot of positive acclaim for its portrayal of autism. If you haven't caught it yet, you're in for a treat. The first two seasons are available to watch on Netflix now.
