American Horror Story renewed for season ten

Ryan Murphy continues to deliver his unique brand of horror…

American Horror Story is showing no signs of ending. The horror anthology series from Ryan Murphy will shortly be airing it’s eighth season, with a ninth already commissioned and now Deadline  has reported that it has been renewed for a tenth season too.

FX Networks CRO John Landgraf confirmed that it was a simple as the showrunner asking for more.

“[Murphy] asked for a 10th season of American Horror Story, which we were happy to give to him.”

He also discussed with the site whether the show might continue beyond that season.

“A lot of that comes down to Ryan and whether he still feels inspired about it. I think the eighth cycle, which is currently in production, is awesome and crazy, and I think the fans will really like it. Part of what’s cool about American Horror Story is its anthology nature. So it comes down to whether Ryan and his collaborators like [executive producer] Tim Minear could come up with stories that they are excited about.”

The upcoming eighth season will be called AHS: Apocalypse and will be a crossover between season one’s Murder House and season threr’s Coven seasons.
