American Gods creators Bryan Fuller and Michael Green quit the show

Some troubling news concerns critically acclaimed show American Gods; both of the show's creators and executive producers Bryan Fuller and Michael Green have quit the show.

The Hollywood Reporter has claimed that Fuller and Green, who have written most of the scripts of the second season, have left over 'creative differences' with Fremantle Media, the company that produces American Gods for Starz; specifically rising budget concerns.

There is talk of Neil Gaiman, who wrote the novel on which the show is based, stepping in as showrunner, but he is currently working on another adaptation of his work (and Terry Pratchett's) Good Omens. This is the second time in a year Fuller has stepped down as executive producer in the last year, famously leaving Star Trek: Discovery while its (then delayed) first season was still in production.

Both writers and Starz have currently remained silent on the subject. More news as we have it...
