Amazon Prime Picks Up Jack Ryan TV Series

He's been Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Ben Affleck and now Chris Pine and it looks as if Jack Ryan is going to get another new face. Last week rumours circulated that Paramount were looking to bring Tom Clancy's CIA operative to TV screens and now it has been confirmed that Amazon Prime has seen off stiff competition to green-light the project.

Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel and The Strain) and Graham Rowland, who directed episodes of Lost, Prison Break, Fringe and Almost Human have developed the idea for the TV series with Paramount TV, Skydance Media and Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes company.

Curse and Rowland have called it "a new contemporary take on the character in his prime [as in, it’s not an origin story] as a CIA analyst/operative, using the novels as source material."

No news yet on production and casting but we'll bring more news as we have it...
