Amanda Seyfried Land First Major New Role In Twin Peaks Revival
It seems as if virtually the entire surviving cast of Twin Peaks is returning for the David Lynch-directed revival for Showtime in 2017, but we haven't heard about any new cast members until now. With new episodes finally being filmed, TV Line have revealed that Amanda Seyfried will be joining the show in a major, mystery role.
Seyfried has recently moved into films, with her last television role being the excellent Big Love but it easy to see why any actor or actress would want to be involved in this project. Picking up 25 years after the dramatic season two cliff-hanger that saw a Bob-possessed Dale Cooper doppleganger lose and his good self still trapped in the Black Lodge, 'season three' will finally give audiences the answers they so desperately need.
There is no news on who Seyfried might be playing - TV Line suggests Cooper and Annie's daughter! - but now that filming is underway, we're sure to learn more soon, particularly the official confirmation of which original stars will be joining Kyle MacLachlan for the revival.
More news as we have it.
