1990s video game Myst to be adapted for television

Comic TV adaptations are two a penny, with everything from Preacher to Supergirl all in development for the upcoming US 2015/16 TV season. But it looks as if computer games transitioning to television shows is also starting to become a regular thing. We recently heard rumours that Netflix were considering a show based on Legend Of Zelda and now Deadline are reporting that Hulu is making a TV series based on the popular 1990's game Myst.

Legendary Television is developing the project with Matt Tolmach (The Amazing Spider-Man serving as producer and Evan Daugherty (Divergent) on writing duties. Deadline reports that 'Myst blends elements of science fiction and fantasy. It will explore the origins of the island of Myst from the game where a man wakes up on a mystery island with absolutely no idea who he is, where is, or how he got there'.

Evan Daugherty is also working on another comic to TV adaptation; Michael Lark’s Lazarus set in a dystopian future.

More news on both projects as we hear it.
