It’s Christmas Eve-eve and the turkey’s getting hot…
Christmas is good for lots of things, but mainly for absolutely cracking TV. From the 19th December to the 1st January, we’ll be giving you a daily report on what you should be watching.
Come Dine With Me
8:00pm on C4
Everyone loves Come Dine With Me, and this comedy special is set to be fantastic. Sean Hughes, Duncan Norvelle, Gina Yashere and Paul Tonkinson all throw a dinner party, although it seems very few of them can be arsed with actual cooking. Expect laughs aplenty.
Raymond Blanc’s Christmas Feast
8:00pm on BBC2
If you want some real cooking rather than chefs pretending to cook, tune into this. Raymond Blanc makes a British-tinted French Christmas dinner and makes us all very hungry in the process.
The Many Lovers of Miss Jane Austen
9:00pm on BB2
Christmas is a time to unashamedly indulge in all things literary, and this fits that description perfectly. Amanda Vickery, a historian, looks at all the people all over the world who love Jane Austen now and who loved her back then.
Have I Got News For You
9:00pm on BBC1
Another Christmas special that promises to not be very festive. Still, Martin Clunes is hosting it again and he’s always fun. And even if Hislop will be grumpy, I’m sure Merton will be as lovely and funny as always.
The Graham Norton Show
10:35pm on BBC1
The show itself isn’t particularly festive, but the guests are. Well, Matt Smith from Doctor Who is. But Kenneth Branagh, Amir Kane and Russel Kane will also be fun.
Guessed the spoiler? Are modern audiences too savvy for TV show twists?
