What To Watch: 22/12/2011

What do you fancy tonight? Food? Arguments? London being destroyed?

Christmas is good for lots of things, but mainly for absolutely cracking TV. From the 19th December to the 1st January, we’ll be giving you a daily report on what you should be watching.

Lorraine’s Last Minute Christmas
8:00pm on BBC2
Sickeningly lovely Lorraine Pascal tells us boring and rubbish people how to make Christmas easy. Expect some very handy hints and lots of shots of Lorraine looking pretty in Christmas jumpers.

9:00pm on Dave
For all of us who are more Scrooge than Santa, the Argumental Christmas Special sees Robert Webb, Micky Flanagan, Jason Manford and Seann Walsh discussing Santa’s true appearance and swearing like your Grandpa after a sherry or two.

London’s Burning
9:00pm on C4
This might be a bit voyeuristic and it’s certainly a bit gratuitous, but there we go. David Morrissey stars in this dramatic interpretation of the August riots, which was made with reference to witness statements and interviews.

Carol King and Friends at Christmas
10:00pm on BBC4
Moving firmly away from the cheesy and into the soulful, this will make your Christmas just that little bit more cultured. Carol King, Richard Hawley, the Puppini sisters and Gregory Porter all bring you Christmas music.
