New Doctor Who Companion Announced Tomorrow?

I think that fanboys and fangirls have just squealed at that title. It appears that the new companion for Doctor Who will be announced tomorrow. They will be replacing Karen Gillan, who plays Amy Pond, and Arthur Darvill, who plays Rory Williams, in the new series.

There is not much information at the moment. Doctor Who's head writer, Steven Moffat is very keen at preventing spoilers. However, BBC entertainment news’ Lizo Mzimba wrote: “Looks like there’ll be some big news announced at a press conference tomorrow morning!”

Daily Mirror TV Editor, Mark Jefferies has said: “BBC source has confirmed to me they will unveil new Doctor Who assistant tomorrow. She is 'pretty' but 'not household name'." Is the new companion female?

There had been rumours going around about Sophia Myles, who played Madame de Pompadour in Series 2's The Girl in the Fireplace, was set to be the new companion when Steven Moffat urged his followers to follow her on Twitter. He added: “I’ll explain later”.

Whatever news comes out - if there is any - we shall be keeping a close eye and informing you. So WATCH THIS SPACE.
