Star Trek Discovery returns for the second half of its first season on 7th January in the US

Star Trek Discovery has been both a hit both with critics and viewers, the new Trek show, which airs on CBS All Access in the US and on Netflix everywhere else has already scored a second season renewal and is set to end it's first run of episodes this weekend with a mid-season cliffhanger.

The good news is we don't have to wait long for it to return - we now can confirm that the show returns on 7th January in the US, and a few hours later on the 8th for the rest of us.

Star Trek Discovery stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Jason Isaacs, Anthony Rapp and Doug Jones and follows the adventures of the crew of the starship Discovery, documenting events ten years prior to Captain Kirk's arrival on the bridge of the Enterprise.
