Stranger Things season three confirmed

Stranger Things is due to stream on Netflix this Halloween (check out the excellent SDCC trailer here), and as part of the build up to the hotly anticipated second season, the Duffer Brothers have been chatting about the show to Vulture.

Not only did they give some details about fans might expect this time round, they also revealed that the show has definitely got a third season.

Here's what Ross Duffer had to say about the second season...

"We wanted to push things a bit. I told Matt, ‘I don’t want to call it season two, I just want it to feel like a movie sequel.’ If you have a successful movie, No. 2 is always a little bit bigger.”

“We’re thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out."

Matt Duffer added...
"We just have to keep adjusting the story. Though I don’t know if we can justify something bad happening to them once a year.”

Ross supported the plans to end the show on their own terms...

“They’re going to have to get the fuck out of this town! It’s ridiculous!”

Stranger Things airs this October. Let's hope the show gets the full four years to tell the story...
