Star Trek: Discovery gets a new trailer from Netflix AND a longer first season

Despite delays and setbacks, not least the loss of Bryan Fuller as show runner, we finally have some good news from Star Trek: Discovery. It seems CBS like what they've seen so far and have increased the first season from 12 to 15 episodes.



The news of the extended first season comes hot on the heels of a couple of new images from the show... The first, above, may look a little more Star Wars than Star Trek, but the second below features a uniform that look very similar to those in Star Trek Enterprise.



Star Trek: Discovery stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Michelle Yeoh, Doug Jones and Jason Isaacs and is said to be set somewhere between the events in Star Trek Enterprise and the Kirks Original Series five year mission. We're expecting it to debut on CBS All Access in the US and on Netflix in the UK and rest of world later this year.
