Roseanne is the latest show to receive the revival treatment

There are plenty of shows getting the revival treatment these days, from Prison Break's current season five to Twin Peaks season three next month and another The X Files event series to follow. Now Deadline has just revealed that Roseanne is the latest shows to be making a comeback.

Original stars Roseanne Barr, John Goodman and Sara Gilbert are already on board for an eight-episode limited comedy series. Barr, Gilbert, Tom Werner, Bruce Helford and Whitney Cummings will all serve as executive producers, with Helford and Cummings co-running. The revival series, which originally ran on ABC, is being shipped to networks at the moment.

It joins the recent announcement of another comedy revival Will & Grace, which is currently returning for a 12-episode series on NBC.
