Star Trek: Discovery recruits three new officers - and first look at the Klingons!
With production finally under way on Star Trek: Discovery (no confirmed air date yet!), more cast members have been confirmed - and it looks like we're going to see more of the universe beyond the USS Discovery.
First up is Maulik Pancholy who will be playing the medical officer Dr. Nambue on the USS Shenzhou (a ship which will be captained by Michelle Yeoh's Captain Georgiou). Joining the crew of the second Starfleet vessel will be Sam Vartholomeos as Ensign Connor. Finally Terry Serpico will be playing Admiral Anderson.
Also in the last day, CBS has released their first behind the scenes image of a bunch of Klingon officers on a film lunch break. The classic Star Trek villains will be a big presence in the new series, with Chris Obi, Shazad Latif and Mary Chieffo all cast as Klingon officers.
We're sure to get plenty more news before Star Trek: Discovery debuts in the US (and on Netflix here in the UK) later this year...
