Sense8 season 2 release date finally confirmed, Christmas special to air first
Sense 8 is one of the more underrated original shows Netflix produces, featuring eight individuals across the globe who become mentally linked. It's an intriguing concept from the minds of Lana Wachowski, Grant Hill and J. Michael Straczynski and is well worth sticking through to the end of its first season. While the show was renewed, details of a second airdate have been scarce this year, possibly in no small part to the replacement of actor Aml Ameen and additional executive producer Lilly Wachowski. But now we're finally getting some details on the continuation of the show.
Variety has confirmed that there will be a Christmas special first, availble for streaming (and now possible download) on the 23rd December. Netflix has also released the following, somewhat vague synopsis.
"The journey continues as these eight singular hearts and minds weave in and out of each other’s lives finding deeper connections, learning darker, more desperate secrets about one another and struggling to identify with more than just oneself." - Netflix
A 10-episode second season when then be available from the 5th May.
