Grimm to end after season six
Nick Burkhardt's fight against the forces of darkness is almost over; NBC has cancelled Grimm after six seasons. The show had already received a reduced series order to 13 episodes but the final confirmation that this was the end came as the network announced that “the final season” will begin on Jan. 6.
The show features David Giuntoli as a Portland detective, who discovered he was part of a long heritage of Grimms. With his allies, he fight's fairy-tale creatures called Wesen, animal-like beings hiding in human form. The show recently celebrated it's 100th episode and airs in the UK on W.
The synopsis for the final season is as follows...
"The nefarious forces of Black Claw have been silenced and Nick (David Giuntoli) faces an all too familiar foe in Capt. Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz). Now in the seat of power as the mayor elect of Portland, Renard is poised to bring rise to his own brand of law and order. Nick must take a stand to protect his city and those closest to him, especially his child with Adalind (Claire Coffee). It will take the full force of Nick and his allies to find a way to bring the peace. Meanwhile, Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee (Bree Turner) grapple with bringing a child into a new and tumultuous world, and Eve (Bitsie Tulloch) faces unsettling identity issues as her former self lurks below the surface." - NBC
