Netflix to air new Star Trek TV series in the UK

As if you didn't already have multiple reasons to subscribe to Netflix, here's something that will excite Trekkies everywhere; Netflix have bought the exclusive rights to air the new Bryan Fuller-led Star Trek TV series in 188 countries, including the UK. What's more, it will be available less than 24 hours after the US broadcast on CBS All Access in 2017.

This comes after Netflix acquired the entire catalogue of Star Trek TV shows, including the animated series, at the end of June. The new series will be one story told over thirteen episodes, but there is no news yet on the cast and how many 'crews' will be involved...
