Netflix to revive The Gilmore Girls

Netflix, the go-to people if you want your favourite old TV show to be revived are at it again. This time they're in talks to create four NEW 90 minute episodes of The Gilmore Girls.

The show originally ran for seven seasons but contract disputes meant that the series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino wasn't involved in the final season; the result of which meant fans were both unhappy and disappointed with the conclusion. According to TVLine, she is back on board for the revival and is writing the new episodes herself.

The Gilmore Girls starred Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel. They'll be returning alongside series regulars Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson. The only major actor who won't be back is Edward Herrmann who sadly passed away in 2014.
