More on Game of Thrones

With production well underway on season six of George R.R. Martin's Game Of Thrones and the author working on completing (we assume) the sixth novel in the 'A Song Of Ice And Fire series The Winds Of Winter, another of his works is now under development for TV.

Deadline have reported that Cinemax are adapting his 1988 “werewolf noir” novella Skin Trade, with Once Upon A Time's co-executive producer Kalinda Vazquez writing and producing. George R.R. Martin will also be executive reporting.

Skin Trade centres on Willie Flambeaux, a collections agent (and werewolf), and his private eye friend Randi Wade who investigate a series of grisly murders in a decaying industrial city. The adaption of the novella forms part of a two-year development deal Martin has with HBO, of which Cinemax is a sibling network. Martin is also developing a Captain Cosmos series at HBO with Michael Cassutt.
