BBC Releases Synopses For First Two Episodes Of Doctor Who Series Nine

With less than two weeks until Doctor Who series nine airs, the BBC have been ramping up the hype by offering fans glimpses of what the opening episodes will entail. Some potentially spoilery details to follow...

Over the weekend, the BBC released this short synopsis for episode one 'The Magician's Apprentice'

Where is the Doctor? When the skies of Earth are frozen by a mysterious alien force, Clara needs her friend. But where is the Doctor, and what is he hiding from? As past deeds come back to haunt him, old enemies will come face-to-face, and for the Doctor and Clara survival seems impossible.

Then came the trailer for episode one...



Finally the BBC have released the synopsis for episode two 'The Witches Familiar'...

Trapped and alone in a terrifying Dalek city, the Doctor is at the heart of an evil Empire; no sonic, no TARDIS, nobody to help. With his greatest temptation before him, can the Doctor resist? And will there be mercy?

If that doesn't make you excited for season nine, we don't know what will. Doctor Who returns on Saturday 19th September...
