Arrow, The Flash, Legends Of Tomorrow, Supergirl - The Latest On The Big DC Superhero Shows
Yesterday we announced that Arrow season four has found its villain - Damien Darhk - but that's only the tip of the iceberg coming out of Comic Con on the big current and upcoming DC superhero shows on The CW and CBS.
Here's a roundup on some of the big stories...
Oliver Queen will now officially be going by the name of Green Arrow when he returns to Starling City this autumn and he has a new outfit (above) to reflect the change in character. In addition, new villain Anarky will appear during season four, while Mr. Terrific will be introduced, working alongside Felicity Smoak.
Furthermore, John Diggle will finally be getting a costume of his own - and apparently it doesn't make him a long-rumoured addition to the Green Lantern Corps.
Teddy Sears has been cast as the 1940's version of The Flash Jay Garrick, to be introduced as season two embarks on its multiverse storyline. Shantel VanSanten meanwhile has been cast as Detective Patty Spivot, a new partner for Detective Joe West. Kid Flash Wally West is also due to appear.
Comic Con also released a recap video of the season one highlights before teasing season two and the arrival of big bad Professor Zoom.
Legends Of Tomorrow
Caity Lotz confirmed her character Sara 'Canary' Lance was brought back to life by the Lazarus Pit. “We’ve seen on Arrow, the people who go into the pit aren’t the same person who come out. There’s the consequences of that now, and I at least want her to go nuts off her rocker.”
Audiences won't just get Hawkgirl when the show airs in 2016, her male counterpart Hawkman will also be joining the cast. There is no news yet on who will be playing him.
Peter Facinelli has been cast as the villainous Maxwell Lord, a green-tech billionaire and friendly rival of Calista Flockhart's Cat Grant. He also happens to be very interested in National City's new hero Supergirl.
