Director Rachel Talalay did a fantastic job directing Steven Moffat's dramatic series eight two part finale Dark Water and Death In Heaven last year and now the BBC have announced she will be directing duties for series nine's two-part finale once more, with Moffat on script duties once more.

After being spotted filming in Cardiff, Talalay wrote on Twitter "Recovering from a case of The Silence. #DoctorWho I am so fortunate to be asked back for the finale S09. #DontScrewItUpPt2″

She later tweeted “I can say about [episode] 11, some of the most flummoxing challenges I’ve ever been given as a director.

That will be that big cliffhanger for episode 11 Moffat has previously chatted about. The question now of course, is how can it top series eight's Missy revelation?
