Love comes to Netflix

There’s nothing like getting your notices in early and Netflix have done just that with the announcement that they’re producing a new show that will debut in summer 2016 in all Netflix territories. That’s summer 2016. So two years away.

Developed by Judd Apatow, Paul Rust and Lesley Arfin Love is a half hour comedy about modern relationships. Starring (and co-written by) Paul Rust and Community girl Gillian Jacobs it’s got star power by the ton behind the camera with writers and producers having been involved in everything from Brooklyn 99, Girls, The Office (US), and all the Apatow movies.

“Judd Apatow has a unique comic voice that manages to be delightful, insightful, and shockingly frank – often at the same time,” said Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos. “Together with Paul and Lesley, he’s bringing a whole new level of agony and ecstasy to this modern day comedy of manners.”

Netflix is an American entertainment company founded by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph on August 29, 1997, in Scotts Valley, California. It specialises in and provides streaming media and video-on-demand online. In 2013, Netflix expanded into film and television production, as well as online distribution.
