Star Trek: Discovery is coming to E4 next year

Channel 4 has picked up the UK broadcast rights for Star Trek: Discovery meaning the show will make the jump from Netflix to TV broadcast on E4.

The TV broadcast will be subject to more time restrictions than it is on its streaming homes on Netflix and CBS All Access and edits will have to be made to account for advert breaks and the varying lengths of the episodes.

Star Trek Discovery returns to Netflix and CBS All Access for its third season in 2020.

Channel 4 have also picked up the UK rights for Matt LeBlanc comedy Man With A Plan.

Debuting in 1966, Gene Roddenberry's Star Trek survived cancellation and returned with a series of films featuring Jame T Kirk and the crew of the Enterprise. It spawned four massively successes TV spin-offs and movies and ruled cult TV in the 1990s.
