Here's a weekly digest of all the news in TV so we can catch you up on all the important bits....First up, Sky has ordered a second series of The Tunnel. Clemence Poesy and Stephen Dillane return as the Anglo-French detectives and you can read Max's fine review of season 1 here.

She'll turn up in Steve Thompson's episode and "will play Ms Delphox, a powerful out-of-this-world character with a dark secret". Steven Moffat in typical fashion has said "she achieves the greatest villainy yet attempted on Doctor Who: she plays a banker".

The Beeb has also announced that filming of season two of The Fall with Jamie Dornan and Gillian Anderson has started again in Belfast and that Bill Nighy will be returning as Johhny Worricker after his role in David Hare's Emmy Award winning drama. Even better news is that Jimmy McGovern is being let loose in Australia on a seven part series dealing with the colonisation in the 18th century on those shores. Confirmed for Banished are Myanna Buring (Ripper Street), Russell Tovey (Being Human), Julian Rhind-Tutt (The Hour), Rory McCann (Game Of Thrones), Ewen Bremner and David Wenham. With one episode from Shaun Duggan, the rest of the show comes from McGovern's pen.
