The Great Fire coming to ITV

ITV, on top of its breakfast TV shake-up, has announced that it has commissioned Tom Bradby's drama looking into the events that caused the great fire of London. Produced by the same people who brought you Fleming and Mistresses, the show features Andrew Buchan, Rose Leslie (Ygritte from Game of Thrones), Charles Dance and the much under used Daniel Mays. The show will centre on baker Thomas Farriner but will also feature Mays as Thomas Pepys with Jack Huston as Charles II and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (Dracula) as The Duke of York.

Shown over four consecutive nights, Bradby is ITN's political editor and writes the first 3 episodes with Chris Hurford and Tom Butterworth concluding the run. The show will be filmed this month.
