Netflix are to adapt Resident Evil into a TV series

Netflix are working on an adaptation of the classic horror game, Resident Evil, with a series set to arrive on the streaming network in the next couple of years. While we're awaiting official confirmation from Netflix themselves, we're hearing that the first season will be based more closely on the games than the Paul W S Anderson films - whether this is a good thing or not really comes down to how highly you rate Anderson's work.

Constantin Film hold the film rights and they are involved in the TV adaptation too, which again could be a good or bad thing depending on your views.

We're expecting the series to delve more deeply into the 'Umbrella Corporation' of the games and will fill in some of the holes in the existing mythology.

We'll post more on Netflix's Resident Evil as soon as we have it.

We need your help

Running a website like The Digital Fix - especially one with over 20 years of content and an active community - costs lots of money and we need your help.
