New The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy TV series in development at Hulu

A new The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy TV series is in development, according to DeadlineHulu  is working on the latest adaptation of Douglas Adam's sci-fi comedy novel with Carlton Cuse and Jason Fuchs.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy began as a radio series before becoming a much loved novel (and series of sequels by Adams). A TV adaptations of the first novel was previously adapted by the BBC, starring Simom Jones as Arthur Dent and later as a film, with Martin Freeman playing Dent.

Cuse and Fuchs will write, executive produce and showrun the proposed series, a modern update planned. Fuchs is writing the pilot script.
