Has Ripper Street been saved by LOVEFiLM?
We've heard rumours, backed up by a post over on Bleeding Cool that Ripper Street might have been saved from the jaws of death by a co-financing deal between the BBC and online streaming/rental company, LOVEFiLM.
Tweets by Thomas Townend, who has previously worked on the films Attack the Block and Dog Altogether, also lend weight to the theory and suggest that LOVEFiLM will be paying for TWO more series and that the BBC will get first dibs on showing them...
Rumour has it Ripper Street has been saved from the chop by a new partnership between the BBC and LOVEFiLM.
