The Killing goes on

How many times can you kill The Killing? Lots apparently. The show which has previously failed to be renewed by AMC and then by AMC & Netflix is returning for a fourth season by the streaming golden boys Netflix, just two months after the second axe fell.

A final six episode season has been ordered and stars Mirielle Enos and Joel Kinnerman are both returning, as is showrunner Veena Sud. Cindy Holland, VP of Original Content for Netflix said “The rich, serialized storytelling in The Killing thrives on Netflix, and we believe that it is only fitting to give Sarah Linden and Stephen Holder a proper send-off".

Despite annoying viewers with its season one cliffhanger and red herrings, stretching the central storyline just that bit too far, the show redeemed itself somewhat with a satisfying third season that delved further into the personal lives of Linden and Holder, and had a convincing central mystery. There’s no news on when we’ll see the final season but no doubt we’ll be able to gorge on it through the wonders of streaming TV.

Netflix is an American entertainment company founded by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph on August 29, 1997, in Scotts Valley, California. It specialises in and provides streaming media and video-on-demand online. In 2013, Netflix expanded into film and television production, as well as online distribution.
