Looper's Rian Johnson throws his hat into the Doctor Who ring

Following last week's revelation that Lord of the Rings and Hobbit director, Peter Jackson, is interested in helming an episode of Doctor Who (and the Beeb are even interested in talking to him about the possibility), another major Hollywood name has also suggested they'd be interested. Rian Johnson, who directed the upcoming Looper, a film which is gaining all sorts of amazing feedback, was asked a question on Reddit about which TV series he'd most like to direct an episode of and he said...

I'd love to do a Game of Thrones.

But what I'd really kill to try, although it would be terrifying because I'm such a big fan of it? Doctor Who.

That's TWO of our favourite shows in one hit! We can only hope that Stephen Moffat has already picked up the phone and given him a call as we would LOVE to see what he could do...
