Is Westworld season three confirmed? Evan Rachel Wood suggests so, as she talks getting equal pay on the show
Anticipation is extremely high for Westworld's return; the second season airs on Sunday in the US and will be simulcast at 2am on Sky Atlantic (while airing at 9pm each Monday). After a critically acclaimed first season (it was one of our favourite shows of 2016), fans are already wondering if the series will continue beyond this season.
While HBO have yet to officially confirm a renewal for season three, one of the show's stars Evan Rachel Wood, who plays host Delores, has all but confirmed it will happen during a discussion with The Wrap. She discussed getting equal pay (given her prominent role, it is ridiculous she has been getting paid less than her male co-stars), something that will happen in the show's third season.
“I think I’m just now to the point where I’m getting paid the same as my male co-stars. I was just told that, you know, ‘Hey, you’re getting equal pay.’ And I almost got emotional. I was like, ‘I have never been paid the same as my male counterparts … never, never.’ I’m always fighting for that. Westworld, it’s like, I get it a little more. It’s like, ‘Well, you’re Anthony Hopkins or Ed Harris.’ But I think now we’re all doing equal amounts of work and really hard work.”
So while it is not confirmed, this suggests that serious discussions are underway for a third season.
