Watch: Fraser Jane - Enough
Fraser Jane has unveiled the beautifully artistic video for her debut single ‘ENOUGH’, due for release on February 19th.
The video premiered with Clash who said, “Fraser Jane exists in a space entirely of her own design. The Irish songwriter’s work has a real sense of depth and complexity, a playful way with words that seeps into her live performances. ‘ENOUGH’ is naked in every sense, a poetic yet profoundly autobiographical piece of writing that perplexes and moves in equal measure.”
The spliced images twist through a myriad of mind-boggling colours and outlandish personalities. The Irish singer intertwines illustration and animation onto her naked canvas, breathing visual magic into her honest lyrical explorations of excess in both love and life.
‘ENOUGH’ delivers a wealth of otherworldly electro sounds and pairs them with creeping tribal patter to create a uniquely ethereal alt-pop soundscape reminiscent of Imogen Heap, Peter Gabriel and Björk.
The Limerick singer has quickly turned tastemaker heads with ‘ENOUGH’ being immediately championed on John Kennedy’s Radio X show as his ‘Xposure Hot One’ with continued support from the station including then being featured as Kennedy’s ‘Big One’, which saw him play it every day on his show last week.
‘ENOUGH’ has also received big support from Amazing Radio, where it’s currently featured in the station’s ‘Audition’ poll and featured on Ireland’s RTE2 FM. The single has similarly achieved early high-profile support at press from the likes of Wonderland, London In Stereo and more.
A creative powerhouse, Fraser Jane has self-produced ‘ENOUGH’ to superb effect and already achieved support from the legendary producer Gary Katz [Steely Dan, Chaka Khan, Laura Nyro, Joe Cocker] who said, “Every once in a while, not very often, I hear an artist that is creating distinctive original music that makes my ears perk up and my foot tap, Fraser Jane is one of those artists.”
The eccentric and moving songwriter has crafted an invitation of sweet intrigue to her planet of delectable sounds. ‘ENOUGH’ is the very first glimpse into the kaleidoscopic world of Fraser Jane, where there are many more mesmeric twists and turns to follow.
