Take a Raincheck in the new video from Hannah Jane Lewis

Hannah Jane Lewis is set to impress if her latest video, 'Raincheck', is anything to go by. The recent Polydor signing bares all the hallmarks of a future star.

Upcoming pop sensation Hannah Jane Lewis returns with her new single ‘Raincheck’, released via Hot Hot Records/Polydor.

‘Raincheck’ finds the precocious pop talent turn an exciting corner, her passion and vision evident on this fizzing, colourful track. Hannah says of the song: “’Raincheck’ is about giving someone just enough to keep them interested, but never too much where they know what is coming next. It’s the initial stages of a relationship when you keep your cards close to your chest, before you are both brave enough to let your guard down.” Huge remixes by Jack from Fickle Friends, KC Lights and Embody are to come, set to add another layer to the 24-karat pop track.

Having moved from sleepy Surrey to Florida when she 14, a shift that eventually enamoured her to the pop sensibilities of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera andGwen Stefani, Hannah immersed herself in U.S college life, ending up in the cheerleading team and attending the high school prom. She subsequently moved on to New York where she attended NYU’s prestigious Tisch School of The Arts, whose alumni include a certain Lady Gaga.

Upon returning to the UK in her 20’s she began to write and record her own music, releasing three singles independently – ‘Hide and Go Seek,’ ‘Bend or Break’ and ‘Why Start A War’ – picking up plaudits from the likes of Popjustice, Line of Best Fit, Clash and Buzzfeed.

Delivering on her promise to “wrap the world up in a big ball of pink glittery colourful energy”, the stage is set for a headstrong and irresistible pop package to break out.
