Scottish experimental alt-pop songstress MALKA has released the video for her new single ‘Falling’, the latest song to be taken from her forthcoming second album Ratatatat due out on October 20th through Tantrum Records. The album is available to pre-order now through PledgeMusic.
‘Falling’ is an empowering indie-pop anthem, which incorporates mesmeric guitars and tribal drum patterns alongside MALKA’s uplifting message.
Regarding the single MALKA says, “What I love most about music is that it can mean one thing to the writer and another to the listener. This song is about not standing in line and ignoring what is going on in the world. But it can equally be about a breakup of a relationship.”
Speaking about the video director Lee Bamsey says, “The idea reflects the importance of confronting issues, and talking them though. It emphasises that the art of conversation can easily be lost to a phone or device, which can cause resentment and angst. Talk about things and act on them, instead of wasting your time looking at nonsense on your phone.”
